Pembury Partners are assisting an international client based near Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, southern France, with the search for an experienced Executive Housekeeper/Household Manager. The professional will  run the property, overview renovation projects and assist on daily operations. The Principals spend approximately 6 months of the year in France and reside abroad the rest of the time; the Executive Housekeeper/Household Manager will ensure the property is managed all year round, will deal with contractors and collaborate with the housekeeper already in place. This role will suit a professional who has previously worked in private households, is competent with the daily tasks of running a property and is an excellent trouble shooter: the clients are looking for a trusted, genuine and competent individual they can count on and rely on all year round. The role is live out therefore a candidate based within commuting distance is a must as is the command of the French language and driving.

Amongst the duties:

    • Running of the property (4,200 square metres, 1.5 acre of surrounding land)
    • Collaborate with Housekeeper
    • Overview renovation
    • Manage contractors, both seasonal and ad hoc
    • Assisting with events and guests visits
    • Laundry and ironing management (Principals’ wardrobe only)
    • Provisioning and stock managing
    • Inventories management
    • Batch cooking and mise en place
    • Assist with potager garden (willing to learn and take lead from gardener)

Skills set sought:

    • Eligible to work in France
    • Bilingual French/English
    • Confident driver and located within commutable distance
    • Previous experience in private households

Salary: €4,500 per month net (take home) – French contract.
