Pembury Partners are assisting an international high-profile private client based in the Los Angeles area with the search for an experienced Chief of Staff / Estate Manager. This is a fully staffed, formal and multicultural household: the ideal professional will have had experience in similar structured set ups, understanding European/Royal protocol, etiquette and service standard. The right professional will ensure the smooth running of the property whilst leading and supporting the existing entourage and partake in the recruiting of additional team members and provide with their training. Experience in management or overview of multi properties is advantageous. The ideal candidate will be courteous, resilient and an excellent trouble shooter with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics. Previous experience in similar role and verifiable references a must.

Amongst the duties:

    • Running of the property
    • Supporting the existing staff
    • Recruiting and train additional staff members
    • Ensure rotas and shifts are organised
    • Administrative tasks, stock control, provisioning, liaising with all departments within the property
    • Organise and assist with the orchestration of private social engagements
    • Project management and overseeing renovations
    • Benchmarking for projects
    • Work closely with Principal’s EA

Skillset required:

    • Eligible to work in the USA
    • Fluent English speaking
    • Resilient, unflappable, excellent communicator
    • Experience managing a portfolio of international properties
    • Keen eye for detail and discretion
    • Verifiable references
